Age 71 of Woodbury

Passed peacefully into the arms of our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 30, after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s.

We lost a wonderful Husband, Dad, Grandpa and friend!  Preceded in death by his parents Richard and Bernadine Nelson and baby son.  Survived by his loving wife, Betty; daughters Melissa (Andy) Ho, Jamie (Mike) Kiedrowski; grandchildren Emily, Lauren, Alex and Makenna; brothers Jeffrey (Cathy) and Bruce (Gwen), as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.

Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, Greg grew up in the East Metro and graduated from Mahtomedi High School before attending college at Bemidji State. Greg had a successful 40-year career with 3M where he met his wife of 48 years. He enjoyed traveling, sports, fishing, golfing, and spending time with family and friends. His love of music started at an early age singing in church choirs which remained a source of comfort throughout his disease.

The Family would like to thank the staff at Woodbury Estates and St. Croix Hospice for their loving and compassionate care.

A private service is planned at Woodbury Lutheran Church on Monday, January 11th at 1:00 for immediate family due to Covid restrictions.
