Gertrude "Trudy" M. (Miller) Aldrich

Gertrude (Trudy) Martha Aldrich, 70 yrs of Woodbury, MN passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family to be with her Lord and Savior on February 26th, 2026.

Trudy was born in October 5, 1955 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Her first language was German, and she remained fluent for her entire life. She was an exceptional student in school and was able to skip grade 4, allowing her to graduate early from high school. She met her husband, Ron, in July of 1973 and they married in May of 1975.

She was blessed with two sons, Steve and Jeff. In 1986, she immigrated to Minnesota, where she remained for the rest of her life.

Her primary goal in life was to support her family, and she was an excellent wife, mother, grand mother and home organizer. Her skills in the workplace also were exceptional and varied, as she excelled in roles as an executive assistant, paralegal, medical transcriptionist, and Mary Kay consultant. Outside of work, she loved to travel on ocean and river cruises and enjoyed all inclusive tropical vacations. In all, she was able to travel to all 7 continents and visit over 80 countries.

No matter the setting, her infectious smile and outward friendliness resulted new friends no matter where she went. This endeared her to countless coworkers, fellow travelers, and made her a favorite patient to medical staff in her final years as she battled breast cancer.

Most important to her was her faith and to bring her family closer to God, to provide them with Christian values and a strong belief in the Gospel to prepare us all for entry into the Kingdom of Heaven. Her firm faith that sustained her courage and peacefulness in her final days continues to inspire all of us.

She was preceded in death by her father Ernest, her mother Martha, and her brother Helmet, all of Edmonton, Alberta.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 50 yrs, Ron, her sons Steve (Sarah) and Jeff (Stefanie), her 4 grandchildren Stella, Jack, Henry and Emmett, and not to be forgotten, her beloved pet cavapoo, Sophie.

Visitation and Services will be held at O’Halloran and Murphy Funeral Home on March 7th at 10 AM and 11 AM respectively. Address is 8700 Valley Creek Rd, Woodbury, MN 55125
