Age 98 of Roseville

Passed away peacefully on December 27th, 2024

Gerald was born in Bena, MN. He would go on to join the Navy, where he would travel all around the world, spending most of his time on an aircraft carrier off Iwo Jima. After his time in the Navy Jerry returned home, where he met Luverne. They fell in love and married, soon growing their family with many beloved children. Jerry enjoyed spending time with his family, going on fishing and hunting trips in Minnesota and Canada. He was an avid outdoorsman, going moose hunting in Canada and snowmobiling cross country. Those who met him soon found that Jerry was quick to lend a helping hand, whether it was with money, mechanical problems, or just advice (which was always correct, even if you didn’t want to admit it).

Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Luverne; parents; and many siblings; son, Terry, and other beloved family.

He is survived by his children, Candy (Tom) Roedecker, Debbie (Steve) Perrault, Rick, and Geriann (George) Taylor; and many wonderful grandchildren, family, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 AM Friday, January 31st, 2025, with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior, all at Roseville Memorial Chapel, 2245 Hamline Ave. N, Roseville MN.
