George Emanuel Peck, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on May 9, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on March 31, 1949, in St. Paul, Minnesota, George lived a life defined by faith, family, craftsmanship, and an infectious joy that touched everyone fortunate enough to know him.
George spent his career as an operations engineer, bringing the same dedication and precision to his professional life that he applied to everything he did. It was in his woodworking shop, however, where that craftsmanship truly shone. A remarkably skilled woodworker, George built beautiful, enduring furniture for his home, his family, and his friends. Those who were lucky enough to receive one of his creations know firsthand the artistry and care he poured into every piece — gifts that will be treasured for generations.
His Catholic faith was not merely a belief but a way of life, expressed through decades of devoted service. George volunteered at prisons, taught CCD at St. Rose of Lima, and gave generously of his time and talent through music ministry. He founded the Children's Choir at St. Rose, played guitar at countless Cursillo retreats, and led parish music alongside his beloved wife Cynthia and dear family friends Sherry and Terry Schwanz. In song and in service, George's faith was always on full display.
On October 6, 1972, George married the love of his life, Cynthia, beginning a partnership that would become the cornerstone of everything he held dear. His greatest pride was his family — his children, his grandchildren, and the home he and Cynthia built together. George could light up any room with his laughter, was always ready with a joke, and was known to pull the occasional well-timed prank. His warmth and outgoing nature meant he could make a friend of any stranger, and his deep loyalty meant those friendships often lasted a lifetime.
George is survived by his wife, Cynthia; his daughter Christine and her husband Robert Noyes; his son Benjamin and his wife Melissa; his grandchildren, Irene, Evelyn, and Ellie; his siblings Virginia, Thomas, and Mary; and a wide circle of friends who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irene and Lloyd Peck, and his brothers John and Charles.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., both at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Roseville, Minnesota.
May his soul rest in the peace he so faithfully sought in this life.
