Age 77, of St. Paul, MN

Beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 20, 2025, after a battle with glioblastoma. Fred was the devoted husband of Joan for 46 years, a cherished father to Anne and Monica, and a proud grandfather to Ava and Nick (and their father, Jerry Petraitis). He is also survived by his sister Karen (Steve) and brother Chris. Fred’s passion for math and numbers defined both his career and his personal life. As a mathematician, financial advisor and avid world traveler, he found joy in sharing his knowledge and helping others succeed. Whether advising clients or solving problems with his daughters and grandchildren at the kitchen table, Fred always provided guidance. Fred’s joy extended to the ski slopes, where he earned his Level 3 certification as a ski instructor. He will be missed by many. A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 3 from 11am-1pm at O’Halloran & Murphy, 575 S Snelling Ave, St Paul, MN 55116.
