It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our cherished mother, Florence Marie Severson, who left us peacefully on February 4, 2026 at the age of 93. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Florence was born on October 18, 1932 in Pearl Lake, MN and grew up on the family farm. Mom was blessed with 36 years of marriage to the love of her life, Norman. Mom was the heart of our family and a guiding light throughout our lives. She was a woman of remarkable strength and grace, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her home was a welcoming place, filled with laughter, delicious meals, and open arms for friends and family alike.
Florence is survived by her loving children, Jo, Cindy (Steve) Bond, Britt, Wade and Tim Severson, and son-in-law Dane Vose. She is also survived by her dear grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her siblings, Dorothy Maus and Edith Palmer, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Severson, parents Anton and Anna (Nelson) Konz, brothers, Philip, Elwin, Vincent, Ebert, Arnold and Magnus Konz, and sisters, Mildred Wicker and Freda Provo.
A viewing will be held at O’Halloran & Murphy on February 11, 2026, 8700 Valley Creek Rd, Woodbury, MN 55125, beginning at 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Family and friends are invited to share memories and honor her legacy. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am, with a visitation 1 hour prior, at Transfiguration Church on Thursday, February 12, 2026, 6133 15th St N. Oakdale, MN 55128. Lunch at O'Halloran and Murphy after the mass, with a burial at Resurrection Cemetery to follow, 2101 Lexington Ave S, Mendota Heights, MN 55120.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Transfiguration Church, in her memory.
Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in the countless memories and the love she gave so freely. Her legacy will live on in the lives she touched and the family she cherished. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
