Father Bryan A. O'Rourke
Passed away April 17, 2021. Born June 9, 1939, son of J. Frank and Helen (née McDonough) O'Rourke. He attended St. Mark's Grade School and Cretin High School. Ordained as a Capuchin Franciscan priest (OFM Cap.) October 6, 1966. Fr. O’Rourke was incardinated as a priest of the Archdiocese in 1989 and served at St. Michael’s parish in Stillwater (1989), the Cathedral of St. Paul (1989 – 1991), St. Mary of the Lake in Plymouth (1991 – 2001), and his home parish of St. Mark in St. Paul (2001 – 2007), when he retired. He served his final years in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, helping in various capacities, and was a strong supporter of Cross Catholic Outreach.
Preceded in death by brother, John O'Rourke, sister, Sheila (née O'Rourke) Belting and Great Nephew Anthony Bomarito.
Survived by brother, Gerald (Mary) O'Rourke, Sydney NSW, Sister-in-Law Joan (née Grimley) O'Rourke, Austin MN nieces, nephews, cousins, Dr.  Joel and many faithful friends.
Mass of Christian Burial 10am Friday, June 11 at CHURCH of SAINT MARK, 2001 Dayton Avenue, St. Paul, with visitation beginning at 9am. Mass will be livestreamed from www.onestrongfamily.org/funeral Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
