BENDEL, ELIZABETH (BETTY) ANN (DALTON)

July 15, 1935 - May 5, 2026

AGE 90 – of Vadnais Heights. Formerly of Roseville.

Passed away peacefully on May 5, 2026

Devoted Catholic, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend.

Preceeded in death by beloved husband Sylvester, spouse of 57 years, parents Roy and Gertrude Dalton, brother Jim Dalton, sister Mary Rose Michiels and son-in-law Marc Preskitt.

Survived by children Dave (Jeannie) Bendel, Cathy Bendel (David) Schachtner, Jane Preskitt and Joan (Steve) Ziertman. Grandchildren Pat, Ryan, Jack, Racheal, Molly, Tony, Kristin, Josh and Jake. Great-Grandchildren Taylor, Maddie, Ellis, Elizabeth, Marcus, Charlie, Danny, Wells, Riley and Asher; as well her sister Kathy Kostichka (Bob) and many nieces and nephews.

Betty was a graduate of the St. Josephs Academy in St. Paul and the 1955 College of St Catherine Nursing Program (Summa Cum Laude). She spent the majority of her career as a long time RN at Twin City OBGYN in Roseville.

Betty’s life focus was family; whether her immediate family, extended family or friends. She loved get togethers as well as individual visits and loved to keep up on what was going on with everyone.

She was very kind, with a quick wit and always had a smile on her face. She will be missed by many who will tell stories of her often to keep her memory alive.

Visitation 5-7pm Thursday May 28th at Roseville Memorial Chapel (2245 N Hamline Avenue, Roseville, MN 55113).

Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am Friday May 29th at St Pius X Catholic Church (3878 Highland Avenue, White Bear Lake) with a visitation one hour prior to Mass.

Interment at Guardian Angels Catholic Cemetery at 2 pm on May 29th. (8260 4th Street N, Oakdale, MN).
