Elizabeth Louise (née Wainwright) Cardwell

Elizabeth Louise Cardwell was born May 10, 1922 in Kansas City Missouri and passed away June 13, 2025 at 103 years and 34 days in Eden Prairie Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her parents Daniel Richard Wainwright and Vera Mary Brown; her husband Phillip Hoxie Cardwell who passed in 1997;  brothers Daniel Richard Wainwright and Thomas Wainwright; and her eldest son John Richard Cardwell who passed in 2014.

Elizabeth is survived by her son, Thomas Charles Cardwell of Wahkon, MN and his son, Jason Mark (Denise) Cardwell, Jason's mother, Judy Cardwell, and 5 great grandchildren; and her daughter-in-law Karen Liv Cardwell and her children, Sonja Liv Cardwell, Kristiane Linn Cardwell, and Elizabeth Lois Cardwell. She is also survived by many other family members and very good friends, including her neighbors who were very supportive and helpful to her through the years.

Elizabeth was a co-owner of Healy Spring Company in Northeast Minneapolis. Louise lived in her own home in Minnetonka until her fall in December of 2024. She rehabilitated and then resided at an assisted living.

Louise enjoyed her pet poodle dogs, gardening, and her many art classes at Minnetonka Arts Center. She created many beautiful paintings, sculptures, needlework was very talented with her sewing.

A Graveside Memorial Service will take place 2pm Saturday, July 5 at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis.
