Eleanor Joan O'Donnell, Age 89, of St. Paul, Minnesota, was born on August 12, 1936, in Maple Lake, Minnesota to Louis and Lenora Stumpf. She passed away peacefully at Our Lady of Peace Hospice on June 11, 2026, surrounded by love. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, John; parents; sister Anna Purcell; sister-in-law Marlene Stumpf; John’s sister and brother-in-law Mary Lou and Louis Ramackel. She is survived by children Jay (Joy), Trish (Pete) Sydow, Tom (Heidi Fancher) and Mary (Charlene Hoff); nine grandchildren (Rachel, Andy, Maggie, J.D., Jacob, Abigail, Sophie, Sam and Noah); thirteen great-grandchildren (Amelia, Eleanor, Olivia, Greta, Samson, Edgar, Campbell, Adelaide, Waylon, Crew, Carsyn, Rowan and Declan); brother Jim, brother-in-law Larry Purcell, sister Connie (Bill) Smith, sister Cathy (Bob) Quady; many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, June 29, 2026 at Nativity of Our Lord Church, 1938 Stanford Ave., St. Paul, MN, 9:30 AM visitation, 10:30 AM service. In lieu of flowers, donations to Our Lady of Peace Hospice are appreciated. Family was everything to Eleanor and she will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
