Dorothy M. Schiemann

Dorothy M (Lorenzen) Schiemann passed away peacefully on April 18, 2026, at the age of 90 in Vadnais Heights, MN formerly of Calumet City, IL

She was born on May 4, 1935, in Chicago, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ken Schiemann; her parents and siblings; her infant daughter, Sandra Schiemann; her daughter, Kathie (Schiemann) Ryba; and her infant granddaughter, April Ryba.

She is survived by her daughters, Sue (late Dave) Jebens and Debbie (Mike) Jones; her grandchildren, Nicole (Jason) Cooper, Anna Jebens, Clarice Jebens, Jennifer Jones, Michael Jones, Emily Jones, Gregory Ryba, and Valerie Ryba; her great-granddaughter, Piper Cooper; her son-in-law, Jerry Ryba; and many nieces, nephews, and friends from Zion.

Dorothy was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Avalon Park Chicago, IL.  She was active in Sunday School, Alter Guild, choir, treasurer and Secretary.  She also loved doing ceramics.  She was also a big Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan.

She was a wonderful wife, Mom, grandma, and friend to many.  She will be missed..
