Dorothy M. (Charpentier) McMonigal

Age 89 of Saint Paul,

Passed away peacefully on Friday, March 27th, 2026, at home surrounded by family. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Robert, the love of her life. They shared 70 years of marriage. Dorothy is also survived by her six children, Therese (Craig) Brandenburg, Michael (Lisa) McMonigal, Thomas (Linda) McMonigal, Eileen McMonigal, Daniel McMonigal, and Diane (Alistair) Paterson; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; her sister, Catherine Egan; and her brother, Stephen Charpentier.

Dorothy was a devoted homemaker and worked at Bungalow Bakery on Grand Ave in St. Paul. She volunteered for many years at Dodge Nature Center, West St. Paul and served on the Mendota Heights Planning Commission. In retirement, Dorothy and Bob enjoyed time at their lake cabin, Traveling throughout the United States and Canada, and wintering in Florida.

Services will be held on Friday, April 3rd 1-3pm at O'Halloran & Murphy Funeral Home (575 Snelling Ave, Saint Paul, MN).

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Dodge Nature Center in West Saint Paul (365 Marie Ave W, W St. Paul, MN)
