Dorothy Hayden “Dode”
Age 94 of Roseville
Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 20th, 2023. Dorothy lived vibrantly up to her final day.
Preceded in death by her husband, Robert; parents, George and Dorothy Hayden; sisters, Joan Lawler(Val) and Pat Lindkvist(John). Survived by children, Michael (Bonnie) and Mary (Jodie); sister, Mary Carlson(Robert); and many other relatives and friends. Dorothy lived her life with Zest, Passion and caring keeping strong in her faith exhibiting all these qualities to everyone she met. Dorothy graduated from the U of M in 1950. She married the love of her life Robert September 9th 1950. She worked for several years before they adopted Mike and Mary. Dorothy felt blessed to live on the same property for the majority of her life. Her neighbors were important to her—they even had a walking club that had a secret code for yay or nay. She loved to work in her gardens and spring was her favorite time of year.
Mass of Christian Burial Friday, March 31st at 11am at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2131 Fairview Ave N, Roseville. Visitation Thursday, March 30th from 4-8pm at the Roseville Memorial Chapel, 2245 N. Hamline Ave and one hour prior at church. Luncheon to follow service. Cemetery procession after luncheon for those who wish to attend at Roselawn Cemetery.
Memorials preferred to the family. Thank you to the staff at Home Instead for helping her stay in her home until her final days along with the 4th floor of HCMC for the care and compassion given to Dorothy and her family.
