KEALY Donald “Don” Patrick, Sr., Age 87,
Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on January 12, 2025. Preceded in death by wife, Donna (Marino), parents, 3 brothers, 5 sisters, and his dog Daisy. Survived by his loving children Denice Smith (Steve), Karen, Joan E (John Mulford), Donny Jr. (Deanna); grandkids Amy, Steven (Jillian), Joey (Kait), Gina (Tony), Tamira (Travis) Jerika, Brianna, Jennifer (Mitch), Jamie (Josh), Donny III (Rachael); great grandkids Drew, Avery, Charlie, Emmy, Marlee, Antonio, Damian, Lylah, Fiona, Ryker, Stella, Josie, Kaiya, Sawyer, Wesley, Wrigley, Waylon; sisters-in-law Judy Kealy, Rose Palony; brother-in-law Caesar Marino (Jackie); many nieces & nephews, extended family and friends and Angel (dog/loyal companion).
Don was born January 19, 1937 and grew up on Capitol Blvd. He attended Mechanic Arts High School. Don was a 3-Sport Letterman: Football, Baseball, Hockey. He was an All City Halfback, and Homecoming King in 1955. Don was a lifetime member of the M Club, President in 1985. Don was a 40 year dedicated member of the Teamsters Local 120.
If Don was not playing a sport himself he was coaching or attending his kids, grands or greats events. Don bowled for many years, he played in Bocce ball at Yarusso’s and annual tournaments at Mancinis. Don had his Thursday night date night with his Baby Girl Joan E at The Twin Point Tavern for tacos and monthly dinner/pulltab night with friends. He had monthly breakfasts with lifetime friends. Don was loved and respected by many, the place would light up when he walked into a room. He loved to tell stories and knew all the stats from high school sports from the ’50s forward.
A gathering of family and friends will be on Friday, January 24, 2025 at St. Ambrose Church Woodbury with visitation starting at 9:30am unitl start of Mass. Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 pm at Church Friday. Private inurnment at a later date.
