David William Thomas was the fifth and last child and only son of Valentine and Mary Thomas.
Born on Dec 12th 1932 and died on Mar 11th, 2026. He was a graduate of Cretin High School and
lived most of his life in the Como Park neighborhood of St. Paul. He met Jeanne Lang and knew
she was the one. Five years later after a stint in the Army during the Korean war and graduation
from St. Cloud State they wed in 1956. Dave was an Accountant for most of the time they raised
their five children. After losing his job he and two friends (George and Wayne) struck out on
their own. They successfully ran Pasquales and Mickey’s restaurants. Dave’s best project was
starting and growing a bottle factory in Moorhead MN. Dave was a backyard Beekeeper for
many years, hobby Cattle Rancher, loved birds and nature in almost all its forms. Dave enjoyed
his cabin on 50 acres in WI, but above all he was his happiest when amidst his family and
friends. It was a family with a lot of love to share. After losing his beloved wife Jeanne in 2005,
his constant companions for the next twenty years were his Golden Retrievers. He was able to
stay in his home of more than 60 years where he passed in his sleep.
Special thanks have to go to everyone at Dignified Choice Care (Andrew, Paul, Louie, Chris, et al.)
