David Carl Hire, age 63, of Saint Paul, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born in Saint Paul and raised in Roseville, David spent his entire life in the Twin Cities, where he was known for his gentle spirit and quiet strength. He worked as a security officer and took pride in his role.
David had an insatiable passion for music—of every genre—and loved discovering new artists and sounds. He was also a talented artist, especially in his younger years, and had a natural gift for drawing.
He will be remembered for his soft-spoken nature, dry sense of humor, and the warmth he brought to family gatherings. 
A man of few words, David spoke with sincerity and heart. He loved reminiscing about his childhood and growing up in the 1970s, often sharing stories that brought smiles and laughter.
David is survived by his mother, Mary; brothers Dan (Katherine) and Jimmy (Megan); and nieces and nephews Nicole, Matthew, Allie, Gracie, Ben, and Jacob and preceded in death by Harold (father) and Janet (sister). 
He was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
A visitation will be held at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM at Corpus Christi Church in Roseville, MN on Thurs. Oct. 2, 2025. A private burial will follow.
