David Markee Brown
Age 87 of San Antonio, TX
David was born to Thomas and Ella Brown in New Richmond, Wisconsin. He currently lived in San Antonio, Texas and was formerly in the Seattle, Washington area. David passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026. Proceeded in death by his loving wife, Elidia, his parents, and brother, Charles. David is survived by sister, Margaret Brown McDonell, who lives in St. Paul, Minnesota and step-children, nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. David graduated from New Richmond High School and from the University of Wisconsin in Madison and held jobs primarily in the field of aviation. David flew single engine planes and gliders and worked for many years for Boeing in Seattle and travelled around the world teaching airplane mechanics about their new Boeing aircraft – a job he loved. While living in Arizona after his retirement, David suffered two strokes and began to show signs of dementia. In July 2025 David lost his wife Elidia to cancer which was hard for Dave to comprehend. David had expressed the desire to be buried with Elidia in his hometown and arrangements have been made for them to be buried side by side in the Brown family plot in Immaculate Conception Catholic cemetery in New Richmond, WI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church in St. Paul at 10 a.m on Saturday, April 18, 2026, with visitation beginning at 9:15 a.m. The mass will be live-streamed (nativitystpaul.org- then follow the Prayer+Worship link to Online Liturgies). Following luncheon at the church, David and Elidia’s internment service will take place later that afternoon in New Richmond. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at Nativity Catholic Church, 1938 Stanford Avenue, St. Paul, MN 55105
