Daniel Nalipinski Obituary

Daniel Nalipinski, born January 12, 1943, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025 at the age of 82. A devoted husband, proud father, beloved grandfather, and cherished friend, Dan lived a full and generous life, rich with love, laughter, and purpose.

Dan is survived by his wife of 57 years, Susan (Ryan); the love of his life and steadfast partner. Together they built a beautiful family and life grounded in deep faith, hard work, and enduring kindness. He is lovingly remembered by his sons, Matthew Nalipinski (Suzy), and Justin Nalipinski (Larissa), Gregory Kolvechek (Erin) and his daughter, Julie O'Connell. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, whom he adored: Lily (Gunnar), Connor, Brianna, Oscar, Sully, and Griffin- each of whom held a special place in their "Papas" heart.

After serving honorably in the U.S. Army, Dan embarked on a successful sales career, working with companies such as 3M, Rubbemaid, and Farmers Insurance. He had a gift for connecting with people and a work ethic admired by colleagues and clients alike.

A lifelong fisherman and natural storyteller, Dan was most at home near the water or sharing a tale-often the same ones, always better with each telling. He was the kind of neighbor who showed up, who lent a hand without being asked, and who brought people together with ease and warmth.

Dan is also survived by his dear nephews Paul and Bill, and his niece Cate Loes and her family, all of whom brought him great joy. His presence, humor, and gentle wisdom will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Friday, May 23rd, 2025, with visitation one hour prior, at the Church of the Assumption, 51 7th St. W., St. Paul, MN.
