Clarice M Fischler, age 93, from St Paul, MN passed away peacefully surrounded by family in her home on December 21, 2025.
Clarice was preceded in death by her husband Robert. Survived by children Sandra Smith (Chris), Susan Benson (Karl) and Scott (Vicki). Grandchildren: Hannah and Chase Smith and Emily Lezer (Noah), Ashley Bruner (Drew) Reece and Nick Loken.
Clarice was an amazing woman who was married to our dad Robert for a short seven years. Following our fathers, passing at 32 years old she found herself a widow and was left to raise three young children (aged 2 months to 5 years old) on her own in the 1960-70's. She did a fantastic job.
She was able to stay home with us while we were small and eventually started working when we were older. She spent most of her career as a bookkeeper with the Minnesota State Bar Association and took the bus to and from her home in St Paul to downtown Minneapolis for 28 years. She finally retired at 78-years-old.
Our mom was an animal lover and always had a pet at her side. She just wanted to be with family as often as possible and loved spending holidays and summer events with the family. We had many special trips to Sugar Lake Lodge over the years. Which we will all remember for the rest of our lives.
We wanted to give a special thank you to her care givers over the years and her neighbors who always kept a watchful eye on her and her property.
Clarice is in our hearts, and we hope she is with our Dad in heaven. They sure will have a lot to talk about. She left a strong family bond with her kids that will continue to keep our family strong with her legacy leading the way. All services to be held on Jan 30th at Nativity Catholic Church in St Paul, Visitation 10am, Mass 11am with lunch to follow. Details also available at ohalloranmurphy.com.
