Carole Marie Zahariades, 82, passed away peacefully on 1/23/21 while surrounded by her family after a year-long battle with Cancer.

Carole was born on April 26, 1938 in Willmar, MN. A graduate of Washburn HS, she went on to receive her BA in Elementary Education from St. Kate's. Carole lived a full life as a Teacher, a wonderful Mother and Homemaker, Neighbor, Volunteer, and Office Manager for husband, Dr. Gust’s dental practice. She lived an active family life, where her home was always open to all and the hub of activity. A long time resident of Roseville, she loved spending time in her gardens and could proudly name most of her 200+ varieties of Hosta. Carole began her mornings doing crossword puzzles and those who knew Carole well, knew not to call during Jeopardy. She found joy in family gatherings, eating out, shopping and playing bridge with lifelong friends. Most of all, Carole loved her family and being a Mom/Grandma. She had a deep Catholic faith and a contagious smile that will be dearly missed. She will be forever in our hearts.

Preceding Carole in death are her husband of 56 years, Gust Zahariades; her parents, Frederick and Adeline Ellingsworth; her brother Thomas Ellingsworth; and in-laws, Francis and Gaylen Frazier.

Carole was loved dearly and will be forever remembered by her five children, son, John and four daughters and husbands, Jodee (Nick) Kozlak, Suzy (Darcy) Schubloom, Teresa Zahariades (Chris Butenhoff), and Amy (Sean) Stapleton; six grandchildren Zack and Nicole Kozlak, Anna Schubloom and Olivia, Tim and Ella Stapleton; in-laws Lily Zahariades, Nick and Rita Zahariades, and Nancy Ellingsworth. Carole will also be remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and her dear friends. Carole was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind a legacy of beautiful memories.

The family extends our heartfelt gratitude to Father Michael at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (CCCC) in Roseville, MN, doctors, nurses and staff at St. John’s Cancer Center, and all of her supportive friends throughout the years.
Memorial contributions may be made to CCCC.

Private interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
A Memorial Mass and celebration of life is planned for Summer.
