Born September 22, 1939, of St. Paul, MN and Naples, FL, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026, at age 86. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosemary and Kenneth Heimbach, and her brother, Kenneth Heimbach Jr. Carol is survived by her husband of 64 years, William H. Queenan; her four children, Anne (Bob) Beacher, Sheila (Mark) Farmer, Shannon (Jeff) Hansen, and Danny (Katie) Queenan; fifteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Mamie (Gary) Fabel and Susan (Duane Ostlund) Heimbach. Carol, lovingly called “Gammy,” was the heartbeat of the extended Queenan clan. With calendar in hand and love at the center of it all, she gathered generations around the same tables, holidays, and traditions. Every celebration bore her quiet signature—carefully planned, warmly welcomed, and made memorable by her steady presence and thoughtful touch.
Carol’s passions shone through in everything she did. She loved dogs, gardening, and most of all, time with her children, grandchildren, and great‑grandchildren. Carol truly loved being at Deer Lake with anyone and everyone who wanted to come. She loved playing games and cards with her guests, and no one left hungry. Feeding everyone, hugging everyone, playing games and making it all happen was her superpower, and family get‑togethers will never be the same without her. Bill, lovingly called “Papa,” shared an extraordinary 64‑year partnership with Carol. While life without her will feel different, her love, devotion, and steady presence will continue to guide and comfort him through the days ahead. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, April 20, 2026 at Church of the Assumption (51 7th St. W, St. Paul, MN 55102). Visitation hours from 9:00-10:00 am at church.
