Age 76, passed away unexpectedly on January 10, 2025. Preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Marjorie. Survived by his loving wife Ann, brothers Todd (Mary), and Scott and sister Julie Anderson (Erling), also nieces Laurel and Briana Malone (Kevin), Megan Mason, Sveta Mason and Nora Doyle, and nephews Michael Preiner (Megan), Dan Preiner (Missy) and Joey Doyle. Bruce loved and was proud of these young people and keenly followed their pursuits and interests. Bruce attended Breck High School and was a graduate of Carleton College in 1970. He completed his MD degree at Case Western Reserve University in 1974 and his internal medicine residency at Hennepin County Medical Center in 1978. He practiced for several years at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. In retirement he took up wind surfing and teaching English to adult immigrants. He was an avid cross-country skier and served in many positions, including president, on the board of the North Star Ski Touring Club. He was diagnosed with Huntington's Disease in 2014, but he accepted it with grace and never let it slow him down; he continued skiing, read voraciously, traveled, enjoyed multiple orchestra and piano concerts, attended enthusiastically HD support group meetings and lived life to the full. He was a humble, kind and thoughtful man and we will all dearly miss him. Fare thee well, Bruce. A Celebration of Life will be held 11:30am Thursday, February 6 at Unity Church Unitarian, 733 Portland Avenue, St. Paul, MN 55704. Parking is available on street and at satellite Unity Church Parking Lot, 25 St. Albans St. N. Private Burial took place at Calvary Cemetery in Forest Lake, MN. Memorials are preferred to Huntington's Disease Society of America, 505 Eighth Avenue Suite 902, New York, NY 10018
