Boleslaw (Bill) Wroblewski of Woodbury, MN (formerly of Emily and St. Paul, MN) died peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife Alicja, his children Lucia Wroblewski (Jennifer), the Rev. Anthony Wroblewski, Christine Wroblewski (Robert Brott), and his grandson Vincent Brott.
Born in 1932 in Pohorany, Poland, Boleslaw came to the United States as a young man after surviving a Russian gulag, a refugee camp in Tanzania, Africa, and completing his technical education in Birmingham, England. He and his father settled in St. Paul, MN. He married Alicja (also from Poland) in 1961. He served in the U.S. Army twice and worked as a model maker/tool and die maker for Ecolab for more than 30 years before retiring with Alicja to Emily, MN, to live along the shores of Ruth Lake. After nearly three decades of lake life, they moved to Woodbury, MN, in 2021.
He is preceded in death by his parents Jozef and Amelia, his brother Bogdan, his close cousins Victor Wroblewski and Leonarda Rajtar, as well as many cousins and friends.
Mass of Christian burial will take place at St. Casimir's Catholic Church on the East side of St. Paul on Monday, Feb. 2, 2026, at 11 a.m. Visitation from 9:30 to 11 a.m. prior to the funeral mass. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights.
