Betty I Murphy passed away peacefully on March 13, 2025. Betty was born in Minneapolis and attended Patrick Henry High School. She married Kenneth in 1950 and raised their family in Cincinnati and Roseville. She was blessed with five children, eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Betty was a kind and loving woman of great faith. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, supporting all of their endeavors. She loved the outdoors, was an avid gardener and a wonderful baker. She will be remembered as a supportive mother and beloved Nana.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, her beloved daughters Patty Murphy and Cheryl Clements Hanzal, and daughter-in-law Maureen Murphy. She is survived by her daughter Kathleen, sons Kevin and Shawn, nephew JC, grandchildren Andy, Megan, Brian, Shannon, Caitlin, Ryan, Kelly, George, Erin, Patrick and Shana, and great-grandchildren Jenson, Charlotte, Emerson, Lily, Emilia, Kjerstin, Declan and Imogene.
Betty’s life will be celebrated on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at 10:00 at St. Rose Of Lima Catholic Church, 2048 Hamline Ave South, Roseville. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the celebration of life at the church.
