Born in Presque Isle, Maine. Passed away May 21, 2025.
Preceded in death by her son, Christopher; parents, Perley and Bernice; siblings, Lois Hanson and Winston, Robert, and Richard  Armstrong. Survived by husband, Tony; daughters, Lisa, Christine (Jess) Boeger, Carrie, and Laura; and grandchildren, Tyler Casland and Greyson Boeger. Avis was a loving and devoted wife of 53 years, cherished mother, affectionate grandmother, and loyal friend. She was the most warm-hearted, supportive, and selfless woman with a heart of gold. Avis lived a blessed life as an avid reader, who enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She was truly loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed. Mass of Christian Burial 11am Thursday, June 12 at O’Halloran & Murphy Funeral Home, 575 Snelling Ave S., St. Paul with visitation one hour prior. Burial Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred.
