We are sad to announce the passings of Anna Katharina (Denzer) Kostka and Leroy Charles Kostka of Rogers, AR. Anna was born on October 27, 1928, in Landstuhl, Germany to parents Karl Denzer and Anna Geib and passed away August 16, 2022 in Rogers, AR. Leroy was born on October 17, 1928 in Blomkest, MN to parents Charles Kostka and Mathilda Hosek and passed away March 3, 2023 in St. Paul, MN.

Leroy & Anna were married in Germany on December 9, 1954, and traveled by ship to the US in April 1955. Aside from their 11-day journey across the ocean, and Anna’s bi-annual summer trips home to Germany, the seven months between their deaths was the longest separation in their 67 years of marriage.

They are survived, and missed dearly, by their only son, Charles and wife Brigid, granddaughters Katie and Veronica, Leroy’s sister Edith Malmanger, Anna’s brother Hermann Denzer and his wife Liesel, Anna’s sister-in-law Christel Denzer, nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral Mass will be held for Leroy and Anna at 10:45am June 9, 2023 at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Roseville, MN, with a visitation beginning at 10am.
