Anna Sue Jacobson of Roseville, Minnesota, born August 13, 1940, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 27, 2025, survived by husband of 66 years Lyle Norman, sons Lyle Michael (Mary), Daniel Ray, Eric Joseph (Angie), grandchildren Cameron, Rae, Alexa, Samantha, Hailey, great grandchild Moxon, brother Cleve McDonald, sister Janice Carlile, and many wonderful loving friends, preceded in death by daughter Julie Anne, daughter-in-law Teresa, mother and step-father Joan and Cleve McDonald, father Ray McAlister, mother and father-in law Lyle Nelson and Naome Jacobson, sister-in-law Susan McDonald, brother-in-law Marvin Carlile.
Graduated from Fort Smith Senior High School, Fort Smith Arkansas. Received her professional designation of RP from the College of Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado. Was instrumental in co-authoring the colleges course on financial paraplanning and was named the first registered paraplanner in history. She was employed at Carlson Companies for 10 years. President of two PTAs. President of St Michael’s Lutheran Church 1998-1999 and spent three years on SML council. President of Minnesota Suburban Ramsey Business and Professional Woman’s Organization during 1982 – 1984. Was named BPW Woman of the year in 1983 for her outstanding achievements. She served on many boards throughout the years. She was a breast cancer and colon cancer survivor.
Sue loved music, playing piano, attending church, traveling and boating with her husband, golfing and lunching with friends, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and making her Southern meal every New Year’s Day.
Visitation and funeral services will be held at Saint Michael’s Lutheran Church, 1660 County Road B West, Roseville Mn, 55113. Friday, May 2, 2025, visitation from 9:30am – 11:00am, funeral service at 11:00am, burial immediately following the service at Roselawn Cemetery, 803 Larpenteur Ave. W, Roseville, Mn 55113.
