Survived by Karen, his wife of 60 years, two sons Erik and Jon (Jessica Blue), and grandchildren Charlotte, Rosemary, and Nicolas, sister-in-law, Mary Megel, sisters Amy (Gordon) Koehn, Connie (Duane) Wallin, one nephew, and six nieces. Allen was born in Long Prairie, MN, in 1937, and graduated from Long Prairie High School in 1955. Graduated St. Olaf College in 1959, University of Minnesota Medical School in 1962, internship Cook County Hospital, Chicago Ill., 1963. Served in U.S. Army stationed in Germany until 1966. Residency Mayo Clinic until 1969. Joined St. Paul Radiology where he practiced until 1998.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 20, 11:00am, at Woodbury Lutheran Church, 7380 Afton Rd., Woodbury, with a gathering 1 hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association, 7900 W. 78th Street, Suite 100, Edina, MN 55439.
