Jerome Hoffman, born in St. Paul eighty years ago, embarked on a journey of lifelong learning. After graduating from Cretin High School, he pursued further education at the University of Minnesota. In 1964, he found joy in marriage with Mary Ann. His professional path led him to GAB General Adjustment Bureau for thirteen years, after which he returned to his roots at St. Paul Fire and Marine.

Jerry's career at St. Paul Fire and Marine was a testament to his dedication and passion. Rising through the ranks, he eventually became Vice President of Claims, cherishing every moment with the company he loved.

Outside of work, Jerry embraced life's adventures. He had a deep love for sailing, traveling, and golf, finding solace and joy in these activities. His family was his pillar of strength, surrounding him with love and support.

Jerry's faith was a central part of his life. For thirty-five years, he attended an annual Jesuit retreat at Demontraville, finding spiritual nourishment and connection.

His commitment to making a difference extended beyond his professional and personal life. Jerry actively participated in charitable organizations such as Goodwill Easter Seals of Minnesota, Feed My Starving Children, and Historic Saint Paul, leaving a lasting impact on the community he cherished.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife Mary Ann, daughter Patricia (Mike) Murray, sons David (Lydia) Hoffman and John (Jessica) Hoffman, sister Carolyn (Charles) Neve, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. His presence will be deeply missed.

A funeral mass will be held at 11am on Friday, April 12 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church (4125 Woodbury Drive). A visitation will begin an hour prior at 10am. Private interment at Union Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Feed My Starving Children.
