Dolores (Laurie) Sagstetter, age 90, of Roseville, died peacefully Friday, April 5th. Dolores grew up in St. Paul where she went to Harding High School. She was a long-time resident of Roseville, MN and long-time member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Dolores devoted her life to her family and embraced her role as a homemaker. She was a caring and selfless mother who cherished her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was happiest when surrounded by her family. Although a self-acknowledged homebody, she would go anywhere and do anything for her family. Her father immigrated from Switzerland and passed on a strong work ethic and love for family. She was proud of her Swiss heritage and loved her visits to Switzerland. She walked through this world with love, gratitude, and humility.
Dolores was preceded in death by Roger, her husband of 68 years, parents Rose and John Caviezel, daughter Jean, sister Rosemary, and brother Mike. She is survived by her sister Pat (Ron) Hicke; children: Kathy (Pat) Ivory, Tom (MaryJane), Mark (Dawn), Paul (Jamie); grandchildren: Jim, Sarah (fiancé Tom), Dan (Steph), Ben (Amy), Curtis (fiancée Rachel), Christopher, and Nathan; great-grandchildren: Elliott, David, Matthew, and Elizabeth; and many other loving friends, nieces, nephews, family, and furbabies.
The family is very grateful to her caregivers at The Commons on Marice and with Grace Hospice.
A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, April 17th at 11:00 AM, with visitation one hour prior, at the Church of Corpus Christi, 2131 Fairview Ave. N, Roseville MN. Luncheon to follow. Interment at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Church of Corpus Christi or Grace Hospice.
