Carol Virgina (Kegley) Berthiaume

Carol Virginia (Kegley) Berthiaume, age 93 of Maplewood, passed away April 1, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Carol was born December 31, 1930 to Leon and Marie (Sack) Kegley. She grew up in St. Paul and graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy in 1948.  She was married to Richard Berthiaume on February 7, 1953.  Carol retired as a Supervisor from the State of Minnesota in 1997. She loved to travel, read, knit, and spend time with special friend Ray Vecellio, her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and Great Granddaughter Hazel Mae. Carol is survived by her children, Roxanne (Ken) Berg, Jim (Sue) Berthiaume, Sharon (Dale) Smitley, Lynda (Ron) Perlt, Mary Jo (Alan) Katzenmaier, 18 grandchildren, Krissy (Chris) Lotzer, James (Michele) Berthiaume, Kenny (Angie) Berg, Heather (Sam) Ternberg, Karen (Dean) Loe, Tony (Jackie) Smitley, Tim (Megan) Smitley, Stephen (Nicole) Smitley, David (Stacy) Edlund, Ryan (Heather) Perlt, Rachel (Jon) Magistad, Chris (Tiffany) Perlt, Nick Perlt, Kaitlyn (Peter) Kaschmitter, Brandon Berthiaume, Maggie Jo (Zach) Ragone, Josh (Suzy) Godbout, Tyler (Lauren) Katzenmaier, 35 great grandchildren, sister Mary Jane (Don) Huberty, and many nieces and nephews.

An evening visitation will be held from 4-8pm on Tuesday, April 9 at O'Halloran & Murphy Funeral Home - Woodbury (8700 Valley Creek Road). A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11am on Wednesday, April 10 at Church of St. Pascal Baylon. A visitation will begin an hour prior at 10am. 

Memorials preferred to, St. Pascal Baylon Church, Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet or Cancer research.
